RAID

RAID stands for Redundant Array of Independent Disks. It is a computer server set up where multiple hard disk drives store the same data.

There are multiple versions of RAID, and each has benefits and drawbacks.

RAID 0

Data is split across two or more disks

Each disk contains half of the data

If one disk fails, all the data is lost. Therefore, RAID 0 is twice as risky as storing the data on a single disk.

RAID 0 is faster than a single disk because we can access data from two disks at the same time
